Completion of requirements
To receive a certificate of completion, participants must:
• Attend and complete all 40 clock hours of required training.
• Participate in required learning activities, case discussions, and skills practice.
• Complete assigned coursework within the course time frame.
• Successfully complete the final knowledge assessment or competency-based learning activities.
• Submit all required course evaluations and completion documentation.
Participants should retain their certificate of completion for their LPC Supervisor application. Texas BHEC identifies the 40-clock-hour supervision-course certificate as required documentation for the online supervisor application and states that there is no expiration date for a completed qualifying course, though proof must be submitted with the application.

Ethical gatekeeping

Completion of this course does not itself grant LPC Supervisor status or guarantee approval by the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. Each participant is responsible for confirming current eligibility requirements, application procedures, and rule changes with BHEC before applying for LPC Supervisor status.

Please verify your individual eligibility with the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council (BHEC), requiring an unrestricted LPC license in good standing for a minimum of five years along with appropriate supervision-training documentation.

With a warm, practical, and clinically grounded teaching style, Cathy helps participants build the knowledge and tools needed to support LPC-Associates, protect client welfare, navigate Texas LPC supervision requirements, and develop a structured supervision practice.
